AUDI A3 2025: Export Review for Overseas Dealers
A generation-and-trim review of the 2025 Audi A3 in APXAUTO stock: how it differs from the other five A3 units held, why the colour is a working-capital question, and which checks decide approval.
There are six Audi A3 listings in our stock as this page is written, and they are not the same product in different colours. They differ in model year, in whether the car is a standard A3 or the long-wheelbase A3L, and in gearbox. A dealer who orders "an A3" without naming which of the six will get whichever one the supplier chooses.
This review is about one of them: the AUDI A3, a 2025 car listed at $18,000–$19,000 FOB and $21,000 CIF.

The long-wheelbase A3L is the cheapest of the three and the newest standard A3 is the most expensive, which tells you what the market pays for: the model year first, then the body variant, then the equipment level. If your buyers care about rear legroom, the A3L is the unit to ask about. If they care about being seen in the current shape, it is the 2025 car.
The colour is a commercial question, not a cosmetic one
This particular car is the purple one, and that has two consequences worth stating plainly. In a market where the dominant resale colours are white, black, grey and silver, a purple car either sells quickly to the buyer who wants something different, or sits on the forecourt longer than the same car in silver. Whichever way it goes in your market, it is a real effect on your working capital, and it is knowable before you order rather than after.
The second consequence is that colour and repaint history interact. A non-standard colour makes paint-thickness evidence more important, not less, because any panel repair on a distinctive colour is harder to blend invisibly. Ask for the panel readings on this specific VIN.
The A3 against the other cars at this money
At $18,000–$19,000 FOB the A3 is competing with two different things: other premium compacts, and larger mainstream cars at the same price. Both appear in our own inventory.

The Passat and the Tiguan cost the same money and give a buyer more physical car. The Q3 costs more and gives the same badge with more height. The Golf 8.5 costs less and gives the same platform family without the badge. Your A3 buyer is not comparing specifications — that buyer is buying the badge and the compact footprint, and the pricing only works if your market actually values both.
The two A3 checks that matter most after landing
Dual-clutch behaviour, warm and cold
The A3 population splits between conventional automatic and dual-clutch cars, and the two behave differently in stop-start traffic. Ask for the start-up video to include at least one standing start and one low-speed manoeuvre, with the dashboard visible.
Service history and the infotainment unit
Premium compact buyers photograph the cabin, and a dead screen or a missing service record is what they complain about. Both are checkable before loading and both are cheaper to resolve there than at the destination port.

Two limits apply to that table. The mileage figure is the listing's recorded bracket, verified on camera against this VIN rather than assumed for the model. And the CIF figure is an indication for the destination port we quote most often, which for our Algeria orders is Algiers; a firm CIF needs the port and a sailing. On this listing the published FOB and CIF figures sit $3,000 apart, and that difference is logistics rather than metal.
Is this the right A3 for your market?
Take it if your buyers pay a premium for a current-shape compact and will accept a distinctive colour as part of the value. Leave it if your market prices cars by the square metre, or if your forecourt turns white and silver cars twice as fast — in which case the other 2025 A3 in our stock is the more sensible order, even though it costs more on paper.

Is a distinctive colour a problem for resale?
It is a variable, not a defect. In markets that reward standard colours it can lengthen the selling period; in markets with buyers who want something different it can shorten it. You know your market better than we do, and we would rather flag it than let you discover it.
What does the CIF indication cover?
Freight and insurance to the named destination port, read the way the ICC Incoterms rules define CIF. It does not include destination customs, duty, conformity approval or inland delivery.
